Why Pool Owners Need Silly Putty and a Turkey Baster (Removing Debris)

Every pool owner should have silly putty and/or a turkey baster on hand. Why? Well, to remove sand and debris from the bottom of the pool, of course! I know. I know. You probably never even dreamed of using such random things for such a necessary yet often over looked task. Here's why they work:

SILLY PUTTY

Silly Putty is waterproof, and if you press it down on some dirt and debris, it will embed into the putty, solving the problem of the nitty gritty on your pool bottom. The only downside to this method is you won’t be able to use it afterwards to press down on your favorite news article or comic strip in the Sunday paper. You can buy silly putty on Amazon here!

TURKEY BASTER

Turkey basters aren't just for Thanksgiving anymore! You can finally use this famous kitchen gadget that you seem to only use on Turkey Day. This method is very affordable and is even multi purpose!

Simply use the baster to suck the dirt off the bottom and dispose outside of your pool or hot tub. This method, along with the silly putty method, is time-consuming, but really easy to do, and you probably have a baster taking up space in your kitchen drawer right now. Just make sure you wash it really good before using it to actually bast your turkey.
